This 5-session creative writing class explores archetypes. We will discuss and write about worldwide archetypes that inspire our own heroic journeys. Students will be encouraged to write nonfiction or fiction in any genre. We will explore archetypes from all over the world as inspiration for our writing. Generational, gender based, and societal norms and prejudices will be analyzed as we apply our writing to a journey of self-discovery. We will especially look at the hero/shadow archetypes and how they differ for men and women.
