This summer's 3-part series of 60-minute programs looks at the books and people that have changed our perspectives about life and the world around us. Join Dr. Bill Thierfelder as he shares his personal journey through the books–and the men and women who wrote them–that have changed the way he perceives family, friends, politics, science, religion, and the universe at large.

This series is also meant to be a challenge: What are the books and who are the writers that have made you look at things in new and perhaps bold ways?

Each program will have a period at the end for participants to share some of their most influential literary encounters.

Presented by Dr. Bill Thierfelder, professor emeritus and docent at the American Museum of Natural History.
