Leak repairs that do not qualify:

  • Any leaks that should have been discovered with routine maintenance/inspections
  • Irrigation Systems or Drip Systems
  • Backflow Devices 
  • Pressure Regulating Valves (PRV)
  • Plumbing Fixtures (faucets, showers, toilets, hose bibs, etc.)
  • Appliances (hot water heater, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, etc.)
  • Additional Items (pools, hot tubs, and water features, etc.)

The City will consider granting an adjustment under the following circumstances:

  • A documented repair was made on the supply line between the meter and the house or within the walls of the home.
  • More than double the water use on the meter compared to last year for the same month
  • The account is current, unless there are prior arrangements
  • No leak adjustments have been provided within the past 12 months
  • Submit the leak adjustment form and proof of repair within 30 days of discovery
  • Non-qualifying residential water leaks between November and March can qualify for an adjustment to the winter average. This will prevent your sewer cost from increasing in April.
