Council Refers Urban Renewal Ballot Measure to Voters
August 7, 2026 — At a special meeting of the Wilsonville City Council held Thursday afternoon, the Council adopted Resolution 3279, which formally initiates the process of referring Ordinance No. 905 to the ballot for voters to consider in this year’s Nov. 3 general election.
If passed by voters in November and subsequently adopted by the City Council, proposed Ordinance No. 905 would establish the Town Center Development District, an urban renewal district, for the purpose of funding new public infrastructure and addressing blight within the District. If the measure were not passed by voters, an urban renewal district would not be formed.
