Community Enhancement Program Open House #2

The City's annual Community Enhancement Program (CEP) is now seeking project nominations. Anyone may nominate a project that could benefit the community, including organizations that may seek to undertake a sponsored project. The City is accepting projects for funding consideration until Jan. 28, 2022.
To assist community members with the nomination process, two optional workshops are being held on Wednesday, Dec. 1 (noon and 6 pm). These open house events are to answer questions about the program and discuss the application guidelines with prospective organizations and individuals.
If unable to attend, potential project sponsors are encouraged to contact CEP program administrator Zoe Mombert to review prospective projects against the program guidelines. All projects must take place within city limits.
The Wilsonville-Metro Community Enhancement Committee is scheduled to select projects to fund in April 2022 after nominated projects are vetted and costs estimated ty program administrators. Project funding becomes available after July 1, 2022, and all projects must be completed within two years.
For a project to be considered for funding, it must meet at least one of the following program criteria:
- Improves the appearance or environmental quality of the community.
- Reduces the amount or toxicity of waste.
- Increases reuse and recycling opportunities.
- Results in rehabilitation or upgrade of real or personal property owned or operated by a nonprofit organization.
- Results in the preservation or enhancement of wildlife, riparian zones, wetlands, forestlands and marine areas, and/or improve the public awareness and the opportunities to enjoy them.
- Results in improvement to, or an increase in, recreational areas and programs.
- Results in improvement in safety.
- Benefits youth, seniors, low income persons or underserved populations
Preference will be given to projects which:
- Grant requests that do not exceed $20,000
- Meet more than one goal
- Projects including a financial or in kind match
- Benefit diverse or traditionally underserved populations
